There are always debates in the healthy living community about how much protein a human body actually needs to function. The Paleo or Ancestral Diet crowd who advocate for a high protein diet or the Vegetarian or Vegan crowd who often claim the body does not need as much protein as the diet industry will have you believe.
I’m of the opinion, that if you tap into your own intuition and truly pay attention to what your body is telling you, you can find the amount that is right for you.

Trust your body, not the ideals and dogma you want to subscribe to. Here are some pertinent questions to ask.
- How does your body feel
- Do you heal quickly
- How is your energy level
- Are your nails growing
- Is your hair growing
- Are your muscles doing what you want them to do when you work out
Check out a protein calculator online, and attempt to get the suggested amount of protein for a period of three months. Take note of what your body is telling you. Do you feel good, how is your energy and most importantly how do you look?
As one of the major macronutrients needed to help you be a phenomenal woman, pay attention to your protein intake, and when you cook dinner, take the biggest piece of meat (I dare you).
